Fiji with kids: the only resort where I actually relaxed

A kids' club staffed by people who genuinely like children, a reef five steps from the door, and parents who finally exhale.

"Kids' club staff who actually love kids. Reef five steps from the villa. Parents finally exhale."

There's a particular kind of family holiday where the parents come home more tired than they left. Likuliku is the opposite of that.

The kids' club isn't a babysitting room with a TV. It's a programme — reef walks, traditional weaving, a mini-feast cooked by the kids on the beach. Our seven-year-old asked, on day three, if she could skip dinner with us to stay for the storytelling. We said yes. We had a very long, very quiet dinner.

The reef is right there. Five steps off the villa deck and you're in it. We snorkelled twice a day without ever needing a boat.

Six nights. Adults-only overwater villas exist if you want one parent-only morning. Use it.
